Prayer and Crumpets

Yesterday we received the sweet gift of connecting with family from home.  Alyssa was able to Skype with her mom and sisters in Orlando, and I was able to connect with my brother and housemates in Cleveland.  As we make our home in the Lord, homesickness isn't really an issue, BUT it was very special to hear the voices of those who love us so well.

Tonight is our last night here in the Cambridge area.  Tomorrow we will leave for London, where at 10am (5am EST) Clare will have her VISA interview at the US Embassy.  Please join us in prayer for this time. This opportunity would let Clare be free to serve the Lord in Orlando throughout the year.  Thank you for your intercession.

It is sad to leave our time here with Paul and Kath, but we are excited to step into other parts of the mission.  Clare, Paul, and Alyssa are meeting with Pastor Joey and his wife, Tiffany one more time tonight.  I am preparing some practical things here at the farm house, and Kath is busy being Proverbs 31 somewhere!  It's been an absolute delight living as this little family and prayerfully courting the Presence of God to this region of England!  A very special time indeed.

So, here we go again!  Please pray for travel mercies, smooth transitions, a sealing on the work in the Cambridge area, openings where we are going, and of course, Clare's VISA interview tomorrow at 10am (5am EST!)

Bless you all.

PS.  Today we had tea and crumpets!!! My mother and I would often have tea parties at her little bistro.  We'd fill up the tea pot up with coffee and have shortbread cookies, call em crumpets, and speak in British accents.  It was a treat to have an actual crumpet today, a definite highlight!

  1. That's really, really special, about the tea and crumpets.

So does this mean that you really will be in London ore the royal wedding? What are the odds? ;)
